Guiding Thought

My worth is inestimable, beyond compare!

Yet, I fear I have nothing to give. How do I give freely? How do I Know my worth to give it? How do I Know my worth to give it freely? How do I give freely when I do not know?

As I give, I learn, allowing Joy and Peace to lead and to guide me. I follow willingly for I know: Where there is Joy and Peace, there is Love; where there is Love, I am; where I am, I am giving my inestimable worth.

Sharing

I have felt many times that I have nothing to give. My internal dialogue was not so much dialogue as a feeling of unacceptable, loveless, and worthless. These feelings don’t speak in words, they simply envelop me in a heavy cloud, pinning me, holding me, immobilizing me.

Learning has been key. Learning to give what is worthy of me—the love within me—has been a process of choices and mistakes…and successes and progress.

When I have given in the past, my gifts have been rejected. Why? I had given nothing of worth. Non-love is nothing, worth nothing. The nothing that I gave was not so much rejected as overlooked: why would anyone recognize or accept that of no worth?

When I give Love, my essence, the only gift of any worth, it returns to me in kind.

Being willing to try things out can be a challenge, especially when the “worthless cloud” surrounds me. I’ve learned though that is exactly the time that is a crucial point in learning and I must dispel the cloud by doing something in Love. Any small step of loving kindness, compassion, a show of care… just giving the Love of my Self in whatever portion I can muster…giving the Love that I love and that loves me back…giving that love is exactly the right choice…Always.

Morning smiles, like the face of a newborn child
Innocent, unknowing
Winter’s end, promises of a long-lost friend
Speaks to me of comfort

But I fear, I have nothing to give
I have so much to lose here in this lonely place
Tangled up in your embrace
There’s nothing I’d like better than to fall

But I fear I have nothing to give

Wind in time rapes the flower trembling on the vine
Nothing yields to shelter
From above, they say temptation will destroy our love
The never-ending hunger

But I fear, I have nothing to give
I have so much to lose here in this lonely place
Tangled up in your embrace
There’s nothing I’d like better than to fall

But I fear I have nothing to give
I have so much to loose
I have nothing to give
We have so much to lose
I have nothing to give
I have so much to loose
I have nothing to give
I have so much to loose
