His own Loving Presence is his Self. He turns his attention inward and becomes aware of his own Loving Presence. With focused awareness, his own Loving Presence fills him, grows brighter, and grows warmer. He claims his Self with these words:
I AM My Own Loving Presence. My loving Presence is the Self of myself. I love my Self!
He wants to give his Self everything it desires–and his Self wants the same for him. What does he desire, but total Peace, Freedom, Love, and Harmony? These are the infinite and eternal qualities of his Self! He is now aware of the inner activity of his own Loving Presence and he invites it to express itself through him and externalize in his life as circumstances, people, forms, and events that fulfill his desires.
“Do not follow where the path may lead…go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”
What does it mean to find your own way? Becoming attuned to your Purpose through contemplative exercises like this is one aspect of forging your own path. Purpose is not about what you do in your daily life activity—it is not about the job you have, the work you do, the relationships you have, the volunteer service you perform, hobbies that you enjoy, or about the accumulation of external experiences and material possessions. Purpose is about finding Divine Mind’s expression as you work, in your relationships, service, experiences, and possessions. The Purpose itself is already within you awaiting expression. The expression is the extending of Divine Mind through your Loving Presence. Your Purpose is solely that expression through the activities of work, relationships, hobbies, experiences, and possessions.
You are the only one ever to encounter the people, situations, and relationships you have in the way you encounter them. You are the only person who will ever experience the confluence of circumstances that you encounter every moment of your life. This is what it means to be unique and special. Every moment you have the opportunity to bring Loving Presence to everyone and everything in your world.
There is consistency in your core. Activities come and go. Stay true to Divine Mind’s expression; there is inner congruency in all action. This is how you forge a new trail. Life activity is not the goal. You will have life activity with or without Purpose. You bring Purpose to your life activity; life activity does not bring Purpose to you.
Express Divine Mind in every moment. That is all.
