Journey of the Heart – Day 05

Spend about 15-20 minutes with the guiding thought, and then let your heart speak through words, pictures, colors, shapes, whatever feels right. I’ve supplied a link below to an audio of me doing the guiding thought–use it if you like to create, while listening to it play on a loop (that’s what I do). Scroll to the bottom for my sharing…

Day 05 Guiding Thought

I bring my awareness to my heart and resonate with its love.

Naturally and easily my heart-love radiates through me.

Love is present now—rippling in to the future, releasing the past.

You can download this and play it in a loop while you allow your heart to speak to you 🙂   I suggest Windows Media Player (I have not tested other players).

When drawing these pictures, I never have a plan—I don’t know what I’m going to draw at the outset. I spend a few minutes listening to the Guiding Thought, getting a feel for it. I let colors, shapes, images, symbols come in to my imagination and then I just start. I don’t really even think about the colors. I have all my colored pencils laid out beside me and glance over at them, picking one out where my gaze falls, or I “see” a color in my mind and use it. Sometimes I get a general impression about where the picture will be going, but at every point, I kind of have a sense of “Oh, this line goes here…and that curve goes there.” It all seems to work out.

I’ve been very fascinated for a long time with geometry. I love the symmetry, balance, and beauty of it. I have a feeling that geometry is a language all its own, one we humans have yet to learn – or have forgotten.

Some of that language comes out in this picture. I feel like it is “saying” more than I really understand, with such simplicity. The heart jewel is both within me and surrounding me, and the inner and outer are connected and proportional, yet also independent of each other.

I also love, in this picture, how the “releasing of the past” is so vibrant. I feel it is so important to break-up, dissolve, and heal past actions/thoughts/beliefs, so that the present and future can be more clear and pure. I felt, while drawing, the past was being released….yet…my conscious mind did not have a grasp on the truly deep significance and effects of it.
