Journey of the Heart – Day 18

We are on Round 2 of our Journey! For those of you new to this, there are 10 Guiding Thoughts, which we repeat in four rounds, for a total of 40 days. With this round, instead of hearing the guiding thoughts in the first person, the subject of the Guiding Thought will be “you”. For example, instead of saying, “My heart knows how to love”, we will be saying, “Your heart knows how to love.”  (For further explanation see Journey of the Heart – Day 11)

Spend about 15-20 minutes with the guiding thought, and then let your heart speak through words, pictures, colors, shapes, whatever feels right. I’ve supplied a link below to an audio of me doing the guiding thought–use it if you like to create, while listening to it play on a loop (that’s what I do). Scroll to the bottom for my sharing…

Day 18 Guiding Thought

Love-as-light streams from your heart to my heart!

We are connected by Love; we are One in Love.

Imagine this stream of love-as-light connecting with everyone in time and space.

Imagine receiving this stream of love-as-light as it returns to you from everyone in time and space.

This is enough. We are One.

You can download this and play it in a loop while you allow your heart to speak to you 🙂   I suggest Windows Media Player (I have not tested other players).

Today, I focused on the last line, “This is enough. We are One.” It felt like too much to try to focus on all of the Guiding Thought (it’s been feeling that way a lot lately).

The last line stood out to me because I have been working on acceptance and feeling satisfied—“enough”. These are components of surrender—which, as you know, I have been really working on.

Acceptance has to do with taking things as they are, not wanting to change what’s going on, or in other words just going with the flow. This is relatively easy for me to do, when I am satisfied. But…I have not been satisfied.

Not being satisfied puts me in a mode of wanting to change things so that I become satisfied…which means that I am not accepting of things as they are…which means I have not surrendered.

This has been changing slowly. That’s the thing about these Journeys; when I let them, they lead me exactly where I need to go; when I put my intention out there, stuff comes up that is in the way of it, and every day I clear just a little bit off the path, so I can take another step.

When change happens slowly, it’s sometimes easy to think it’s not happening. This is why it is very valuable to know yourself. When you are familiar with yourself and can detect your own subtle changes, the nuances of your feelings, the inner-shifts that bring you just that much closer to your deeper/higher self, then you can pat yourself on the back and acknowledge your small changes and successes. I’ve found it can be easy to overlook the successes, especially when they feel like wading through crap (because sometimes that’s what it is)…so I make sure to acknowledge my small steps!

I found when I focused on the last line, about enough, the rest fell into place. I don’t know how, really, but the drawing is all of the guiding thought… somehow.
