We are on round 3! For this round, the pronouns for the Guiding Thoughts change again; we will use the pronoun “we” or “us”, instead of “I” or “you”. When you listen to the Guiding Thoughts (or read them), unite yourself with me, and I will unite myself with you. We are the “we”!
Before you begin each day, take a moment and think about this from Day 08’s Guiding Thought: Love-as-light streams from my heart to your heart! We are connected by Love; we are One in Love. You may even choose to listen to this quickly—it is a thought that will turn your mind to the right attitude for the day’s endeavor.
Spend about 15-20 minutes with the guiding thought, and then let your heart speak through words, pictures, colors, shapes, whatever feels right. I’ve supplied a link below to an audio of me doing the guiding thought–use it if you like to create, while listening to it play on a loop (that’s what I do). Scroll to the bottom for my sharing…
Day 29 Guiding Thought
Gratitude strikes our hearts like a bell, resounding love through our being.
Gratitude opens our hearts to Love’s purity, our very own essence!
We experience such deep gratitude for our hearts, our essence, our ALL of Life!

You can download this and play it in a loop while you allow your heart to speak to you :). I suggest Windows Media Player (I have not tested other players).
I was very attuned to the word purity when I did this picture. The water fountain was the symbol for that—cleansing, refreshing, purifying.
I’ve been thinking about purifying a lot lately. There are so many ways to purify, and they all go hand in hand. When I cleanse and purify my internal body through juicing, a raw-vegan diet, or fasting, my mind and emotions seems to get calmer, more peaceful (and my body feels so good to occupy!).
When I cleanse my outer-body through soaking in a bath for a couple of hours, everything feels renewed and refreshed; all is right with the world. If I go into the tub feeling “off”, if I have had a tough day, or if I am worried or stressed, when I get out of the tub after a long soak, I feel like I can handle it. Life takes care of itself…life takes care of me.
When I cleanse my mind through staying focused on thoughts of God, Love, Oneness, or Truth, my emotions tend to be more even and predictable.
Breathing cleanses the internal systems, renewing the blood with oxygen, feeding tissues and cells, carrying away carbon dioxide and minute toxins in the body, leaving the body relaxed and invigorated.
There are lots of things that purify. Prayer. Exercise. Work. Helpfulness. Gratitude. The question is: which do you use intentionally? What are your go-to methods for feeling better? Because what is feeling better except getting rid of (purifying) garbage that makes you feel bad? How often do you move this stuff out? The more you move out, the more often you do it intentionally, the easier it becomes.
I have a friend who once told me that when she’s feeling really terrible, she goes for a jog and feels better—and she knows jogging helps her feel better. I thought, “If you know jogging helps you feel better, why don’t you do it before you feel terrible, so you actually work to prevent feeling terrible?”
That’s my philosophy: prevention. I do stuff to purify so that I maintain a standard functioning of basically feeling good.
But here’s the thing: purifying automatically decreases your tolerance for feeling bad. Your standard continually goes up. The more accustomed you are to having relaxed emotions, a body that feels good, a mental state that is calm and even, the more you notice when you are not these things. That’s when you become very aware of who the negative people are in your life, what stressful circumstances are, what things you ingest that make your body uncomfortable…and you begin to want to eliminate or transform those things.
All this focus on purifying! Do you think my heart is telling me that there is a new/different level of purifying that I need to explore? I do.
