Guiding Thought

Divine abundance expresses infinitely through our own Divine Presence. When we identify with our Divine Presence, we open the floodgates, and Divine abundance flows naturally, easily, and effortlessly through us, materializing all good in our lives and affairs.

Today is not a good day for words…

What is Divine abundance, anyway? I’ve been thinking a lot about what this means. I still haven’t come up with anything exact or tangible, much less any good way to put it in to words. It’s more of a feeling… there are times when I experience something and I think, “This is part of it…”  Sometimes kismet or synchronicity are part of it, being in the right place at the right time. Sometimes it’s a good feeling after helping someone, or after doing a good job. Sometimes it’s offering a service that is valuable to someone else, and is easy to provide. Sometimes it’s just lightness or feeling care-free.

I have this image of exchanges. It’s this idea that abundance is not about money, it’s about what we exchange, what we give to others easily and naturally, and what they give to others (not necessarily me) easily and naturally. Something that is easy for me to do, but difficult for someone else to do would give them a lot of value, at barely any expense to me. Something that I have trouble doing (like changing spark plugs, putting in a new faucet, or fixing a dryer), that someone else can do very easily would be of great value to me at little expense to them. Why can’t we just match up what people offer with what other people need?

I know that’s not how it works. I’m not even saying I think that’s how it should work. I’m just saying it’s something to think about.

Sometimes, all I want to do is do what I do. I don’t care what money I receive, I don’t care what “comes back to me,” I just care about doing it because it feels so good, so right. It’s such a natural thing, and I love being/doing this thing (whatever it happens to be in the moment) that expresses fully who/what I am.

I think the closest way I can currently conceptualize Divine abundance (to get back to my original question), is exactly what I’ve just said:  to do what I do, being this thing that I am, and not worrying about how much, or what, comes back to me. “Not worrying” means trusting that I am taken care of, that everything is taken care of—and that, in fact, I am taken care of, that everything is taken care of.

In a way, this is exactly what the Guiding Thought is saying, isn’t it?

Divine Presence= “doing what I do, being this thing that I am”

Which is

identifying with our Divine Presence,

which is

opening  the floodgates,

because

Divine abundance is the flow of our Self– naturally, easily, and effortlessly through us, materializing all good in our lives and affairs.
