Guiding Thought

Everything is energy. Everything is energy connecting everything! A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places. Lift your energy to the vibration of Love and Light, to God, to all that is Divine. You are responsible for your energy; choose to free it by releasing the Divine Love within you.

This Guiding Thought has very subtle implications. It is saying something that may not be readily apparent; I saw it for the first time today.

First, however, you need to decide if you believe the first sentence. Is everything energy?

If you are a natural scientist, or physicist, you may turn to E=mc2, or energy equals mass times a constant (the speed of light) squared. Energy equals mass, which would mean all physical reality is energy. Then you may turn to the questions (as I have), “Are thoughts energy, do thoughts have mass?” I don’t have this answer, but what I think about this is that thoughts may or may not have energy, but they do direct energy. For example: I think, “I want a cup of coffee.” That thought initiates a physical (energy) process where I get up from my chair and go make a cup of coffee.

[This is, by the way, one of the reasons I am so dedicated to these Journeys: if thought directs energy, which I do believe, then my thoughts as I contemplate the Guiding Thoughts are directing my energy toward experiencing the concepts of the Guiding Thought, just as thinking “I want a cup of coffee” prompts me to go make coffee. The difference is, I know how to make a cup of coffee, but I may or may not know how to “release Divine Love within me (etc.)”.]

So, personally, after my own analysis, I can say, yes, I believe the first sentence. Everything is energy.

If you buy that, then the second sentence follows fairly simply. If everything is energy, and energy is not bound to any particular form, then all energy connects all energy; thus, I can also believe that everything is energy connecting everything.

Good so far?

The next sentence is sort of a transition sentence, “A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places.” It follows easily from the first two sentences (assuming you agree with them), but it also leads to the remainder of the Guiding Thought, with serious and subtle implications. On the physical level a “shift in energy” is easy to see: If I put tea in my coffee maker, I don’t get coffee; if I turn right instead of left I arrive at a different destination. But what about energy we are shifting on a subconscious level? That’s more difficult to see or understand. If I direct my energy with thoughts like, “Life is miserable, I hate my life…” the energy/matter goes one place shifting the energy/matter in other places; if I direct my thoughts through ideas like, “I lift my energy to the vibration of Love and Light, to God, to all that is Divine.” the energy/matter shifts differently, like turning right instead of left.

As a transition sentence, “A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places.” encourages you to begin to be aware that energy shifts, and how energy shifts.

The next sentence,” Lift your energy to the vibration of Love and Light, to God, to all that is Divine.” gives an option for shifting your own energy. It is showing one way your own personal energy can shift. Furthermore, because this very thought is directing your energy, just having the thought does it; reading that line directs your energy to turn in that direction. Any deeper contemplation on that thought only enhances the firmness of the directive.

The last line was really the kicker for me today: “You are responsible for your energy; choose to free it by releasing the Divine Love within you.” You are responsible. If everything is energy, and energy connects everything, then I am both responsible for everything, and able to respond to everything.

Whoa! How can I be responsible for everything!? How can I respond to everything? I can barely get “me” to respond how I want to, how am I supposed to take on everything!?

The answer is: choose. Choose what? Choose to release the Divine Love within you. YOU may not know, but it does.
