Life is a process of Self-discovery. Embrace All of Life, for All of Life is who you are! As you embrace Life as your Self, you come to understand Life as yourself. Life embraces you gently and joyfully in return.
I am beginning to feel some cohesion to this Journey, beginning to see where it is leading me and what it is teaching me. It’s kind of cool…I feel like I am being lead. Each day seems to connect with previous days, adding to a build-up of understanding.
So far what I now understand is as I go within, on my personal journey of self-discovery, my inner-silent Self becomes “stronger”, more solid, more accessible at all times. From that place, I can embrace all of Life. All of Life is seen through those eyes of stillness.
My mind can (and does) analyze and assess as I have mentioned, but it does not (necessarily) judge. Judging means making a decision about what the interpretation means. Stillness does not interpret, it merely is, so there does not have to be any judgment. Not judging but simply accepting is part of embracing all of Life. Life happens, it goes on all around me; my mind watches and does what it does—figures-out, discerns, etc.; the stillness behind the mind watches the mind and imbues it with a “unifying field”, the simplicity of stillness (“beingness”).
The simplicity of stillness, the beingness behind the mind, becomes an anchor for the mind. The stillness shows the mind a greater context (unity, oneness), and everything the mind then interprets is also interpreted through that greater context. The mind is no longer adrift and alone. It has a reference point.
I can only bring that stillness to life after I have cultivated the stillness, or rather, acclimated my mind to recognize the stillness that is already within me. This is the process of self-discovery: cultivating the awareness of that inner core of stillness and peace.
This is why finding and rooting out the chaotic, disturbing thoughts-beliefs-feelings is important. The mind tends to impose those things onto the stillness, rather than allowing the stillness to imbue the mind with itself. When I “process through” chaos or sadness or doubt, it’s a way of consciously emptying the mind, letting those things come out, talking myself through them, watching them pass, then having a space available for my Self to fill.
The stillness and peace I experience at the core shows me unity—and that unity is who I Am. From that unity, I am able to embrace All of Life because in that place I am One with All.
