Guiding Thought

I have forgotten my Self. I have forgotten who I am. I have forgotten that I am established in Love and by Love, which is infinite and eternal; therefore, my worth is infinite and eternal.

I seek to remember my Self. I choose to remember my Self. I choose to remember who I am and my infinite worth in Love. I choose to be aware, to understand, and to Know myself (my Self) as the Love I am. I choose to share who I am with the world, giving my infinite worth, measured in infinite Love.

Sharing

Welcome to Day 01 of a new Journey!

“It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me and I’m feelin’ good (as the incomparable Nina Simone sings).” Let’s get right to it, shall we?

“Giving is receiving”. That’s where the final line of the Guiding Thought takes me.

When I am able to choose to share who I am with the world, that means I can see the distinction between my Self and some lesser version of who I am (or who I think I am). I can see beyond my own smallness, my own masks, my own limitations; I can see beyond those things, and can truly see that part of me that is of infinite worth.

But here’s the catch: in order to see the infinite worth in yourself, you have to give it first. Sharing your Self with the world first is a leap of faith, in a sense, and also a “chicken and egg” situation. Even if you don’t believe in your Self, the part of you that was established in and by Love, it’s there within you, waiting; it’s waiting to show you YOU. But you have to take the step to share it with the world. (We practice this, by the way, during these Journeys: It’s what round 2 is all about).

Once you give your Self, once you begin to share the Love you are, the Self externalizes; the subject becomes the object, available for the subject to perceive. Too often, however, when something is “external”, people have a tendency to think of it as other or separate or not me. When you consciously give love, the lines between self/other dissolve; this is the pathway to Oneness and seeing beyond the separation. (We practice this during round 3).

It sounds a little convoluted, doesn’t it?

“Giving is receiving” sounds pretty convoluted too.

But that’s how it works: Giving your Self (infinite Love) is the means to receiving your Self (infinite Love). In giving your Self of Love, you dissolve the barrier between you and others; everything that is not-Love falls away, leaving only Love. This allows you to see Love outside yourself, sparking internal recognition of your Self: the first step to remembering your Self. Once you remember your Self–Infinite Love, you realize that that is all you want. When it’s all you want, and you know that you get it by giving it, then all that remains is to give infinitely of your Self so that you can be (receive) infinitely of your Self.

But more than that, once you understand this, and really feel that it is all you want, it becomes the only thing of real value, the only thing of any worth: Imagine God giving to God infinitely. We are all fractals of God, established in Divine Perfection, infinitely giving of our Self to our Self, to Know our Self.
