We love ourselves for the Truth within us. The Truth within us Knows us for who we are—Pure Love, Only Love, beyond all valuing of the world. In Love all are equal, for we are One. This is how Truth Knows us—Pure, One, and Free. This is our Truth; this is my Truth; this is the Self we love.
No matter how many times I ask myself “Why does this matter?” or “What does this mean?” I come up with new insights…every time. Today, I was wondering about Truth, about what the Truth is (as related to the Guiding Thought) and I was wondering about why I think this (these Journeys) is so important.
Here’s what I came up with:
We consist of Mind, Life (which is Love), and a physical body. Life and Mind exist within our physical bodies, but both also pre-exist the physical body (and exist after the physical body, if you choose to believe that).
As pre-existing, Mind and Life (which is Love) influence the physical body more so than the physical body influences either Mind or Life. Yet, the physical body (actions) also influences Mind and Life.
There is evolution, the physical process which advances material life, and the material world. But there is also an invisible evolution, the evolution of Mind and Life. This invisible evolution both influences physical evolution and is influenced by it.
Every action produces results or outcomes (cause and effect). There are physical, visible, and immediately perceivable outcomes, but there are also internal effects regarding how the mind perceives, what becomes “imprinted” within the emotions or consciousness. These imprints then become how we think about situations and react to them; they develop our tendencies or habits. There is a cycle of internal-external cause-effect. As we think we act, as we act so we become, as we become so we think.
Yet, Mind and Life pre-exist the physical body.
Mind and Life also pre-exist the mind which identifies with the physical body.
The mind of the physical body must transcend itself, in favor of Mind and Life.
The mind of the physical body must be voluntarily trained and disciplined into its own enlightenment, its own alignment with Mind and Life, the highest, Truest forms of self-expression.
It is only in that Truest form of self-expression, that of Mind and Life, that we express who we Truly are: Love. It is only in that expression that our actions manifest internal and external effects that are worthy of who we Truly are. It is only in this manner–the consistent maintenance of highest self-expression in every moment of thought and action– that we become the fulfillment of our Selves.
What do you think?
