Guiding Thought

Everything is energy. Everything is energy connecting everything! A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places. Lift your energy to the vibration of Love and Light, to God, to all that is Divine. You are responsible for your energy; choose to free it by releasing the Divine Love within you.

Reflection

This felt like a below-average day regarding my understanding and application of the Guiding Thought.  It’s not that I felt any frustration or impediments…it’s more like I felt blank, as though nothing was going on—no thoughts, no feelings, no images, no insights.

Even though I understood the words of the Guiding Thought, I felt like there was something I was missing.

Let me walk through it with you, ok?

Everything is energy. Everything is energy connecting everything!  Check. I get this. This is a basic re-statement of E=mc². I understand it conceptually, and I can even agree that it’s most likely true; I don’t have the scientific background to prove it, but I am happy to believe Einstein, and my own intuition.

A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places. Check. Got it. This statement follows logically from the first two. If everything is energy, and energy connects everything, then it only stands to reason that a change of energy in one place will affect energy in other places.  

Lift your energy to the vibration of Love and Light, to God, to all that is Divine. Here is where it got a bit fuzzy for me. What is the relevance of this to the first three sentences? What is their connection?

If everything is energy, then words are also energy. If energy connects energy to itself then the words from the first three sentences are connected to the fourth sentence, energetically. I am just not sure how or why, or what difference it makes.

The one thing I can think regarding this, that would be relevant to Journey of Freedom, is that when I lift my energy to Love, Light, and God, the effects of that would be “bigger”, more intense (maybe?), more widespread (maybe?).

You’ve heard of the butterfly effect, right? The idea is that when a butterfly flaps its wings, it “causes” a hurricane someplace else on the planet. The idea is similar to “Everything is energy connecting everything!”  Of course, the butterfly starting a hurricane is merely symbolic, but using that symbolism let’s consider:

If the effect of a butterfly’s wings is a hurricane, what would the effects of a condor’s wings be? A butterfly wingspan is about 3 inches; a condor’s wingspan is about 8.5 feet—102 inches…that’s almost 40 times bigger than a butterfly.  Wouldn’t the effects of a condor flapping its wings be 40 times bigger than a hurricane?

In this example the condor represents Love, Light, and God.

This is “why” lifting your energy to Love matters: the effects of Love are stronger, more powerful, and more far-reaching than other energies.

Finally: You are responsible for your energy; choose to free it by releasing the Divine Love within you.

It seems to me that if energy is all connected, and we lift our energy to Love, and Love is stronger, more powerful, and more far-reaching, then the effects of Love have to do with Freedom for ALL. When you free your own energy through Love, the “wave” ripples out to everyone. No one in free, when others are bound. This is the only way we reach freedom: together.
