Guiding Thought

The purpose of Life for all beings is to experience happiness, peace, contentment, and safety, Knowing the Oneness and Immortality of the Divine Self. Such Knowledge is beyond speech, beyond thought; It is found in the depths of the heart where communion (co-union) with All is reality. We now bring the unifying force within our hearts to all people and experiences and thus Know ourselves as the happiness, peace, contentment, and safety we Are.

Reflection

We are not here everyday simply reading, contemplating, and writing our thoughts.

A friend of mine who does triathlons would explain it this way: I don’t go to the gym every day to put in my hour and go home, like so many people do. I did that for a time and got bored. What good is that? What is the endgame to that? That was how I decided to do triathlons. Now, my time in the gym serves a greater purpose. Now, with every moment in the gym, I am in training. Each day gets me closer to completing my next triathlon.

Each day of reading, contemplating, and writing, is our training; life is the triathlon.

Our goal is not as concrete as crossing a finish line, but the training brings about tangible results: we act in union with higher principles and bring peace into our homes, our places of work, and all those around us. We are the Peace we seek.

We are creating the future. We are becoming the change we want to see in the world, thus the world is changing.

Every time you make the choice to commune with your heart before taking action…You are the change.

Every time you exhibit kindness, patience, or compassion…You are the change.

Every time you choose a memory of love over a memory of resentment…You are the change.

Every time you take a step toward being your own “better person” (whatever that is for you)…You are the change.

In this race, we can only cross the finish line together. Thank you for training with me; it’s so much more fun than running on a treadmill alone.
