Guiding Thought

Oh, my beautiful blissful heart! How can I deepen and expand my relationship with you? How can I give your love, your wisdom, your compassion more openly and freely? How can I know you, my heart of love, as myself?

In the Why I mentioned that I wanted to enrich my relationship with the sacred heart of Jesus, to expand my Love for all humanity. I have to be honest: That came completely out of the blue. I had not thought about the sacred heart of Jesus; I had not planned to have that be a focus of the Journey; it was not something that was in even the periphery of my vision. It quite literally jumped onto the list of its own accord. I started writing it, and then realized what I was writing.

I am very thankful that it came out, and that I now can be aware of it and work with it consciously.

As I was doing today’s Guiding Thought, I was speaking as much to the sacred heart of Jesus as I was to my own heart. It was as though I was asking these questions of the universal: the heart of Love for All Humanity, and the particular: my own heart. Two for the price of one!

I was also getting answers (of sorts) back from both of them. Heart answers are generally not words. It takes practice to listen, and to recognize the language of the heart. Today it was like a pulse, and a wave–my own heart would pulse, then a wave went out and resonated with the universal heart, then the waves would come back to me, and the pulse would start over.

The “feeling” was not especially special…it was a very light feeling of simple, beautiful, calm–special enough, but not like overwhelming Love or something that knocked me off my feet. Just gentle. Just enough.

I stayed focused on the sacred heart of Jesus throughout the Guiding Thought. The overall feeling was like being a student, and learning from a boundless teacher. Isn’t that just what I requested?
