Guiding Thought
I listen to my heart and with my heart. My heart pays attention to others, listening to their inner voice, their unspoken words. I care, and attend with love to their deeper, silent needs, asking their heart, “How may I strengthen you and raise your energy?”

For some reason, today’s picture reminded me of Jacks. One of the things that made Jacks fun was the unpredictability of how the jacks would land (which presumably made it more difficult to figure out in advance a strategy for picking them up).
Sometimes energy takes on a life of it’s own, and this certainly can be true of the heart–if you’ve ever been in love you know what I mean.
For any other emotion, taking on a life of it’s own can be scary, uncertain–just think about anger or sadness. Anger doing it’s own thing is called rage, someone who allows anger to do it’s own thing is called a rage-aholic; following sadness where it may lead causes concern in friends or family, for fear of depression or, perhaps, suicide.
Yet, where love is concerned, the unpredictability, uncertainty, or out-of-control feeling isn’t something to battle against; it’s something to ride for as long as possible, and regret or miss when it’s gone.
There’s a trust in Love and where it leads, like we have with no other emotion. Even when we feel doubt or uncertainty about love, ultimately we want what it offers. No matter how big it gets, no matter how intense, no matter how uncertain, love gently speaks its language of trust and we want to follow.
Why resist?
