Embracing and Letting Go –Journey of Courage 02.09.01

Guiding Thought

Life is a process of Self-discovery. I embrace All of Life, for All of Life is who I am. As I embrace Life as my Self, I come to understand Life as me. Life embraces me gently and joyfully in return.

Contemplation / Reflection

To embrace All of Life and to understand it as me, I must invoke the courage to embrace the parts of life that I don’t necessarily “like”. I must accept that “liking” is  my own personal filter and perhaps that filter requires a good cleaning from time-to-time that I may see this Life, these people, this set of circumstances, from a higher perspective.  I must acknowledge that the labels I assign to situations and personalities within my daily experience inhibit my ability to allow my inner, Divine self from shining through. Through my foggy filters, I miss Life’s “embracing me gently and joyfully”.  I have a poster in my room that states: “today is a good day to have a good day”. When I allow, or invite Life to embrace me gently and joyfully, I am more capable of making it a good day, of seeing the “good” in everything and returning the joy and gentleness that Life offers. That person, this set of circumstances, they just ARE. If I have the courage to willingly embrace them, perhaps I can love them as they are, an accurate reflection of me. Discarding MY labels for them I can also more joyfully embrace my Self.
