Knowing the essence of All as my Self, I respect and revere All Life. I love my Self; I love All Life. I bring this Love regularly, sincerely, and thankfully to all my activities and interactions. I now Know the Peace inherent in Oneness. I Know All as my Self. I Know my Self as Love.
Reflection
Steve
The answers lay within. I wrote that down over 40 years ago. And I have spent the next 40 years looking for those answers everywhere but within. It feels like coming full circle, and I can now declare that God is within me, that all Life is within me, my True Self. I can and do love my Self. I accept myself as I am, and know that my True Self is Love, and that I can share this Love with all.
Of course, the best answers are questions. Those are the questions that come from within; who am I, what is my purpose, is there god? Some questions are unanswerable, and that’s okay. Accepting uncertainty, I can flow with life, knowing Peace from within, knowing Love as my true self.
Mitakuye Oyasin – All my relations – Lakota phrase of interconnectedness and oneness. Earthly reverence, every living thing is our relation. May I walk in Peace and Love.
Journey of Peace – Day 10 – Lita
Knowing the essence of All as my Self, I respect and revere All Life. I love my Self; I love All Life…
Today’s reflection feels like a tall order. I don’t have the “regularity” of loving myself and all life, but I do experience this Big Awareness and Love on occasion.
My dear friend from college who is in regular email contact with me, even though we live a couple of states apart, forwards monthly forecasts from her astrologer. We do our part in supporting each other’s work on the path of life. These writings she sends are deeply spiritual and poetic. One such came yesterday. The tag line in my friend’s email was: “we can begin again with each breath”. How timely!
We can begin again with each breath. How comforting these words are, especially when I diverge from the path of my true essence, my breath taking me wholly and fully back to myself. No judgement. Just start with the next breath. Need I say more? I begin again and again and again.

Day 10 Peace – Mary
Wow, some days my ego has me believing I really do know “All as my Self and that I respect and revere All Life”. Then, a day like today. There are some Asian hybrid pears on the kitchen counter from a tree in our yard. They’re extremely tart and are awaiting transformation into something a bit more sweet and edible. There’s respect for the Life they represent. BUT WAIT, something’s moving! Ewww, it’s a little worm that crawled out of one of these pears, inching its way out of the bowl. Without even thinking about it beyond “ewww”, there it went, down the drain to drown. I’m stunned. I’m one of those people who invites flies to fly out an open door. I have a special “spider relocation tool” for removing spiders from my home without squashing them. And yet, now I have, unthinkingly, killed the little worm. Guess I still have work to do on “I respect and revere All Life”.
