Zigging and Zagging — 02.13.30

Guiding Thought

Knowing the essence of All as our Self, we respect and revere All Life. We love our Self; we love All Life. We bring this Love regularly, sincerely, and thankfully to all our activities and interactions. We now Know the Peace inherent in Oneness. We Know All as our Self. We Know our Self as Love.

Reflection
Mary

We bring Love to all our activities and interactions. I wonder, have you been in a “big box” furniture store lately?  They’re acres and acres of stuff on display. We went to look at options for a new couch today. After describing what I thought I wanted, the nice sales rep walked us through this enormous maze in search of a particular sofa. They apparently had only ONE sofa out of this entire maze that fit my criteria. We turned left, we turned right, we zigged and we zagged.  He slowed his pace a bit after I explained I’d had recent surgery on my knee and couldn’t keep up. And we zigged and zagged some more. He shook his head and said he’d been away from work for a couple days and that they’d moved some things around. When he finally found what he was looking for, we had traversed the entire multi-acre store, and we ended up about 10 yards from where we started at the store’s entrance! It wasn’t the sofa we were looking for and I found myself wanting to be somewhat angry and frustrated, because of the unnecessary trek throughout the store. As we walked back to our car, I couldn’t help but laugh. At least I’d gotten some extra walking in today – gotta LOVE that. As we begin to know our Self as Love, we practice seeing the silver lining in the dark clouds, we begin the practice of finding ways to Love what might otherwise be frustrating experiences

  1. Journey of Peace – Day 30 – Lita
    Knowing the essence of All as our Self, we respect and revere All Life. We love our Self…
    Big Love.
    I step into this pool. Sometimes I step in with my big toe; at other times, with a whole limb; and sometimes it is with my whole being. It is interesting to note that when I enter with my whole Being, boundaries dissolve. There is no other.
    For the first time in a while, and much unlike Day 20, I have had a good lie-in. I did not have to rush out of bed and into a day filled with an agenda of obligations. Well, yes there are obligations, but they are not so stacked upon each other. My coffee and writing greet me first.
    What if I were to make my agenda today Self Love with and in all that I do?
    I am soon to attend to laundry, shop for groceries, pick up books at the library, and go for a walk with a friend. What if I direct Love into my hands, my steps, my conversations?
    I have the time and space today to practice this Love regularly, sincerely, and thankfully into all that I do today. Today is a whole body dive.

    Reflection Day 30 Steve

    Every Living thing is our relation. We are all One. So say the Native Americans, we are all brothers and sisters. Treat everyone with the respect you would show your mother, as every living thing has been your mother in some lifetime. So says the Buddha. Peace Be, says a dear friend.

    When we open our hearts to Love deep inside us, we experience Peace. We know we are all connected to the One.

    Love our Self and Peace will be ours. Love All Life, and the world rejoices.

    Kahlil Gibran from the Prophet:

    Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.

    But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
    To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
    To know the pain of too much tenderness.
    To be wounded by your own understanding of love:
    And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
    To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
    To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
    To return home at eventide with gratitude;
    And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.
