Susan (commentary)
After 40 days of drawing/writing/painting and connecting with the Heart, there are two final steps. 1) Relax, celebrate, and let yourself assimilate the (joyful) work of the past 40 days. 2) Reflect on the past 40 days and write a bit about how you feel now. Did you accomplish what you set out to accomplish (re-read your Why)? Did the Journey have unexpected twists and turns? How has your relationship with your heart changed? What about your relationship with other people? What have you learned? To what do you now aspire? These are just some questions to get you started…there are no “rules” to what your Journey means for you, or how you reflect upon it.
Between Feb 19 and Feb 22, you’ll find the reflections of the four Journeyers. Today is Steve:
Reflection
There was so much Heart in this journey! There seemed to be a magic, working through all of us, as we created separately, yet together, our individual expressions of love, from our hearts.
It reminds me that although we all walk our own paths, we all have the same destination. We are one.
This kept resonating with me throughout the journey, We are One.
We are walking each other home.
I started this journey wanting more Peace and love in my life. As I reflected on each guiding thought, I often had a struggle to come up with something. That’s just being honest. I think it was a struggle twixt heart and mind. When an idea came to me, I often found that the drawing, painting, or picture was enough. I did not need to add any analysis from my mind.
I appreciate the non-verbal aspects of this journey. Words can be limiting (they can also be evocative). It seems like drawing or painting can tap into our inner selves, and express broader aspects of who we are, what we are feeling and experiencing. They can help to open our hearts.
What did I learn from this journey?
We are One. (And sometimes I can actually experience that). I learned to trust my heart more, and to appreciate the support from everyone on this journey, including many who don’t even know they were on this journey. I learned to trust my creative abilities more, and especially to appreciate the creativity expressed by others. I learned that love flows between us all. Thank you, you are all amazing!
Many Paths, single moon
Many paths lead from
The foot of the mountain,
But at the peak
We all gaze at the single bright moon.
