Guiding Thought

Through gratitude, my consciousness of Love expands, connecting me with All. Gratitude increases my awareness of unity; gratitude shows me our Wholeness. Gratitude is the bridge to knowing others as my Self. What a gift you are!

Reflection

You know when someone (like a sibling or a partner or a close friend) starts an argument with you from out of nowhere? When you’re having a great day, yet something you say triggers your sibling/partner/close friend and they go on offensive defense? When they then come at you with something out of left field, and you think WTF???

You know how when this happens you need to do your best to remain poised in grace, yet they keep coming, knowing all the weaknesses you have and very likely eventually they get to you and you end up arguing, defending yourself, throwing things back in their face, bringing up what they did last week or last month or last year?

This almost was my evening. But gratefully, I had been doing japa (Om Namah Shivaya) since about 9:30 this morning. The name of God purifies everything. Clears everything. When everything is cleared, there is nothing left for someone to fight against. No argument or anything. There is only stillness where they can see their own reflection.

Sometimes they don’t want to. They just want to drag you down.

But with clearness, you may stand in the energy let it wash over and through you; you can be in a space of recognizing the worth of Oneness in the other person, the value of seeing them as you see yourself.

This is healing.

I was extremely grateful today to have this. I gave thanks to God for being so powerful that I withstood the above, and I was able to smooth things out (it’s a tough job…).
