Notes: Medical Medium by Anthony William

August 18, 2018: I have recently revisited my relationship with the suggestions from this book. I did many of the suggestions for about 6 months in 2016, then trailed off….until now. I am back at it, full on, with an approach that I believe will be more sustainable. I even made a new chart! More soon on my approach, a food/cost breakdown, and suggestions to organize so that it’s easy to organize and doThe link works again, BTW. Sorry it was offline for a week.

Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal
Anthony William
Published by Hay House, 2015

Read first: June 09, 2016

The basic structure of the cleanse is to consume only raw (organic, if possible) fruits and vegetables, with low fat and salt intake, and stay hydrated with water, teas and coconut water. Optional supplements and suggested foods can be found for each/any of the symptoms/illnesses in the second part of the book.

For four weeks, I focused on eating/drinking only raw fruits and veggies. I started (with 4 friends) on July 5, 2016.

Here is a link to a spreadsheet I made with all of the foods and supplements mentioned in the book, with their corresponding ailment. If you download the spreadsheet, you can sort by ailment (sheet 1) or by food (sheet 2).

My Notes/Impressions:

The Author, Anthony William, has a God-given gift to “scan” people to determine their medical condition, and to recommend treatments. He has no medical background; his information is spoken to him by the Spirit of the Most High, which is the essence of the word compassion (understanding suffering).

Only about one medium every hundred years is given this gift. Edgar Cayce and Padre Pio are examples from the 19th-20th centuries.

The 20th-21st centuries have seen a rise is what are called “mystery illnesses”–illnesses that either cannot be identified, that can be identified, but there is no viable treatment, or illnesses that are misdiagnosed. Some examples of these are Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, Multiple Sclerosis.

Furthermore, he claims that the Epstein Barr Virus is responsible for such conditions as Lupus, Hypothyroidism and other thyroid disorders, general, “unidentifiable” aches and pains, nerve pain, heart palpitations. The medical community currently knows only of the first two phases of the Epstein Barr Virus–the phases where the virus shows up as fatigue, sore throat, fever, and is diagnosed as Mononucleosis (sometimes). But after that the virus goes through two more stages…and can often lie dormant for years or decades before it shows up again.

During these years or decades between phases, the virus is dormant, but it is multiplying. New cells form, old cells die. Each of the cells that die are toxic to your body. Over decades, this can cause enormous toxic build-up, while the cells (hiding in your liver or other large organ), continue to multiply. They are there, just waiting.

They wait until you experience a stress in your life–divorce, car accident, loss of a job, when your body secretes a hormone to help you deal with the stress. That hormone acts as food for the virus, and it gobbles it up, becoming active in your body. This is the third phase. During this phase, as it’s eating the hormone, the virus also is secreting its own toxic waste. The combination of dead (toxic) cells and toxic waste confuse your immune system, so your body doesn’t even know what to do to fight off the intruder. This confused immune system response is often diagnosed as lupus.

The life-cycle of Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is really what piqued my interest in doing this cleanse. William says that about 2/3 of the population has EBV and doesn’t know it. I was diagnosed with mononucleosis in college, and so… I have EBV…which means it’s living in my liver or spleen, waiting for me to have a stress-response so it can feed off my hormones and wreak havoc in my body. According to William, there are many, many symptoms that are caused by EBV, that get “blamed” on other diagnosis–PMS, perimenopause, chronic fatigue, systemic exertion intolerance disease, fibromyalgia, tinnitus, general anxiety, dizziness, chest tightness, esophageal spasms, insomnia, tingling or numbness in the hands and feet, heart palpitations…

He goes into depth about the phases of EBV, as well as the different “types” of EBV (there are 6 groups that all evolve differently, causing different symptoms, some more aggressively than others).

The good news is: this can be healed. Since I know I have EBV, and it has not yet shown up as any major condition, my interest in the cleanse is as preventative maintenance.

At the end of each chapter, William outlines the Healing Foods, as well as herbs and supplements. There are 14 chapters devoted to specific illnesses and what to eat in order to heal. Some of these other illnesses are: adrenal fatigue, candida, migraines, shingles, ADD/ADHD/Autism, PTSD, depression, PMS and menopause, Lyme disease.

The last part of the book outlines “How to finally heal”. In this section are the instructions for “gut health” and what to eat for the four weeks of the cleanse. Since I am doing the cleanse, I have a page devoted to my own routine (following the book), and also a Journal page, so you can see what I am doing/when and how I think it’s working out.

Quotes from the book

The popular approach right now in books about chronic illness is to advise readers to eliminate inflammatory foods from their diets–and that’s as far as it goes. The information out there doesn’t explain what actually causes autoimmune disorders or chronic conditions, or how to rid yourself of the root problem.

“Compassion is the understanding of suffering”, Spirit replies. “There is no peace, joy, or hope until those who suffer are understood. Compassion is the soul of these words; without it, they are empty. Compassion fills them with truth, honor, and purpose.”

Because there’s no rule book for mystery illness, there are also no limits to recovery–if you plug in to the secrets I reveal in the pages to come. Healing is one of the greatest freedoms God offers us. Healing is the law of the universe, the light, or whatever you choose to call the higher source–not the law of humans–and so it grants true justice. Untethered by statute, healing from mystery illness can exceed imagination.

You are not to blame for your illness. It’s not something you manifested or attracted. It’s not your fault. You certainly don’t deserve to feel unwell. You have the God-given right to heal.

Nobody wants to be sick or compromised. Nobody has a fear of healing.

It’s not about deprivation in any way; it’s about abundance. This delicious, healing cleanse has brought profound results to countless clients. It has changed people’s lives. It can change yours.
