Guiding Thought
Your consciousness is the gateway through which Divine Love flows, materializing your infinite Supply. Be now conscious of your own Inner Divine Presence—Infinite Love—expressing through you, providing you with the means to be aware, to understand, and to know It as your Self– more and more!

I aspire to be nothing, no-thing.
No-thing: the emptiness of mind, the emptiness of space. Eternal Peace.
Only ego wants something, some-thing.
Only ego wants to fill nothing with some-thing.
Filling nothing with something encroaches upon Peace,
not eliminating it, but gentrifying its residence, being inhospitable to it.
Peace recedes, withdraws, becomes smaller and smaller, more faint, more distant, forgotten.
Like faeries and elves.
I aspire to Peace, to no-thing-ness,
so I remove the things from my mind–these thoughts, these worries, these burdens;
so I remove the things from my heart, these attachments, these desires, these needs.
Ego responds and says,
But then…
Who are you?
You’ve never been without thoughts, worries, burdens, attachments, desires, needs.
Who are you, if I you are not these things?
Who are you if you are not some thing?
Ego makes a good point (to itself). A part of me (that ego part) listens and grows fearful–who would I be without these things? I want to be something, don’t I?
Don’t I?
Above all else, I want Peace.
Above all else I want no-thing.
Wanting no-thing / wanting Peace; these are the same.

Guiding Thought
Everything is energy. Everything is energy connecting everything! A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places. I lift my energy to the vibration of love and light, to God, to all that is Divine. I am responsible for my energy and I choose to free it by releasing the Divine Love within me.
Reflection
I spent 7 minutes on the Guiding Thought. After about three minutes, I suddenly realized that my mind had just wandered for about a minute and a half!
I decided to stay focused—and I did…but even so, I did not feel as though I was engaging the Guiding Thought with the depth and rigor it deserves (or that I deserve).
It’s not that I didn’t understand it, or that I felt confused, I just felt more superficial than I like.
I do, really like this Guiding Thought, so I don’t know why I wasn’t able to be as involved with it as I usually am. There was nothing today that I felt a disagreement with, or any skepticism towards. So, I wonder why I skimmed the surface today?
These things happen sometimes.
However, that also meant that I did not feel the Guiding Thought very deeply, and–you know–the feeling of the Guiding Thought is where a lot of insights, realizations, etc. seem to arise.
But, again, these things happen sometimes. Maybe my brain needs a break (already??).
I was able make a few connections in areas that I might be able to apply the Guiding Thought. For example, some days I feel my energy drop, and I could imagine that thinking about raising my vibration to Love and Light, would probably help with my droopy energy. This could be the case if I have gotten “bad” news, if a situation comes up at work or at home that is frustrating, or if I just get grumpy (not me!).
I absolutely was able to see implications for the Guiding Thought beyond myself. After all, the Guiding Thought itself prompts me to do so: “A shift in energy in one place shifts energy other places.” I started visualizing what the results of raising my vibration to Love would do, as that vibration radiates out and shifts stuff around.
I did not have anything specific in mind. I just had a bit of a feeling like, “yeah, I could see how that would smooth things over” and “It sure is nice to think about how Love would change things beyond myself…everything would just seem nicer”.
The sentence “Everything is energy connecting everything!” also made me think of the Buddhist concept of dependent origination (also known as dependent arising, also known as emptiness). In very simple terms, dependent origination means everything is connected and everything is interconnected. There is nothing that happens that does not affect something else, and anything that happens has done so due to many, various other things. It seems like saying “everything is energy connecting everything” is like a zoom-lens on the dependent origination: things, events, or situations are broken down into the waves and particles that constitute them. Then, there really is no denying everything is connected, and what connects it.
I’ve been seeing things all around about freedom. It’s been fun; you know when your attention is on something, it appears more frequently! I saw a bumper sticker on a car today that just said “FREEDOM”—I’ve never seen one before!
And, as you know, I’ve been paying just a wee bit more attention to Astrology for the month of August, due to all of the cosmic activity.
Yesterday, I read an article that referenced freedom many times. Here are some of them (find the full articlehere):
