Every thought, word, action or feeling we express affects the whole of Creation –Gratitude 2.8.34

Guiding Thought

Through gratitude, my consciousness of Love expands, connecting me with All. Gratitude increases my awareness of unity; gratitude shows me our Wholeness. Gratitude is the bridge to knowing others as my Self. What a gift you are!

Reflection / Contemplation

I mentioned recently that I’ve been reading the Saint Germain I AM Discourses. Through this reading, I’ve been reminded repeatedly of the work done by the man who inspired these Journeys, John Randolph Price.

Though there is much in the Discourses that I find inspiring, the thought about decreeing something through the I AM Presence is the one I am currently associating with Mr. Price.

In The Abundance Book, Mr. Price is very clear that at the beginning of the 40 days, one should make a forceful declaration to end poverty consciousness, and to establish a consciousness of abundance:

On this day, I cease believing in visible money as my supply and my support, and
I view my current world of effect, as it truly is simply an out picturing of my former beliefs. I
believed in the power of money, therefore I surrendered my God-given power and authority
to an objectified belief. I believed in the possibility of lack, thus causing a separation in
consciousness from the source of my supply. I believed in mortal man and carnal conditions,
and through this faith gave man and conditions power over me. I believed in the mortal
illusion created by the collective consciousness of error thoughts, and in doing so, I have
limited the Unlimited. No More! This day I renounce my so-called humanhood and claim my
divine inheritance as a Being of God. This day I acknowledge God as my supply and my
support.

No more! No more.

I feel like this is where I’m at. No more. Let us be done with nonsense of cruelty, of pettiness, of greed, of vanity, of power over others. Let us empower each other. Let us be kind to each other. Let us meditate together on the highest possible ideas and ideals that we can in every possible moment. Let us share; let us take care of each other, the earth and all her creatures and flora.

From this day forward, let us decree that our own, individual consciousness (and thus the consciousness of Humanity), which used to be focused continually on conflict, fear, and antagonism, will flow in a new direction—toward peace, harmony, divinity and spirituality.

If you do not feel like your consciousness has these impressions, then decree this for the world consciousness, because I hope you can’t deny that you see it “out there”.

Let us decree this transformation in consciousness is manifest. Energy accumulates where we direct our attention, and the energy of consciousness causes everything to take shape.

As we meditate together today for a world free from conflict and discrimination, free from injustice and oppression,  a world filled with love, respect, and gratitude toward one another and toward all life on Earth, we join in consciousness with millions and millions of people around the world doing this work in their own way.

Let us be the wave of concentrated energy working for the transformation of Humanity’s consciousness. Let us awaken peace, harmony, and gratitude within all Human Beings.

You are probably already doing this work. Thank you for that. Thank you for being here. Thank you for being the Love Presence you are. I cannot express how grateful I am for you.

Peace.

Guiding Thought

In my natural state of Freedom, my mind knows only serene tranquility and Oneness with All. Nothing need be done, for there is no more to do. I am perfect, whole, and complete. Satisfied and filled full, my energy overflows to manifest only the Good, the Holy, and the Beautiful.

Reflection

“There is no more to do”, yet “doing” still happens.

Not “doing” anything does not mean ceasing activity. We are, after all, in a material world with material needs, requiring all of the actions to accomplish those things.

This has been a perpetual difficulty in language for as long as people have been using words to “explain” what the spiritual world, what a spiritual experience, is all about. We need words to explain. We have the same words to describe the spiritual world, as we have to describe the material world. Discerning the two when the words are the same can feel confusing…

“Not doing” in this case means that the mind is not “doing”. It is no longer seeking. It is no longer lost. It Knows itself as a spark of the Divine Flame, unquestionably.

In this state, the mind is at rest, at Peace, existing in Oneness.

The body follows the mind. Action follows thought.

There is still activity, action, “doing”, but the Source of the action is a mind that is at One with All, rather than a mind that jumps around from idea to idea, analyzing, figuring out, deciding category, rank, or meaning.

In this state, there is a natural balance, an equilibrium between the Divine flow that comes through us and what we contribute to the world. Once in that state of Equal Flow, the (Infinite) Divine gives us as much of Itself as we can allow to flow through us.

We end up as though running on a treadmill that is moving too fast for our little legs to run! That is the “overflow”–we are constantly supplied with Divine flow, so much so that it spills out to everything we encounter as expressions of the Divine Itself–the Good, the Holy, the Beautiful. All we need to do is keep giving It.

John Randolph Price used to say, “try to out-give God…you can’t.”

Get Clear: Journey of Creation – Day 28

Guiding Thought

What do we value? How much do we value it? When we clarify these questions, we establish the value of our goal. Then, we consciously bring this value to all our thoughts and actions, measuring our behavior against the criteria set by our values. The means for accomplishment reveal themselves as we clarify our intentions.

Reflection

How many times have I contemplated the phrase, “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you” (Christian Bible, Luke 17:21)? Dozens? Hundreds? Probably thousands.

I became aware of this passage in the early 90’s through the work of John Randolph Price. The phrase that often accompanied this one was, “As above, so below; as within, so without”.

The concept embodied by and promulgated through this passage has become fairly mainstream (it was not mainstream in the 90’s): Introspection is the doorway to higher truths.

For most of you who are doing any kind of personal or spiritual development work, this should be fairly familiar, exemplified in these now-common ideas:

  • The answers are within you
  • Your thoughts (within) create your reality (without)
  • Remember who you are
  • Come home to yourself
  • If you meet the Buddha on the Road, kill him (in other words: you are your own guru, your own Buddha, don’t look to another)

Looking within is the gateway to discovering deeper truths, ultimately revealing The Kingdom of Heaven.

During the first two rounds of these Journeys, the Guiding Thoughts encourage this type of introspection. Contemplation begins with the self.

During the third round, the “we” round, the Guiding Thoughts point us toward a collective, and our interconnectedness with a group. How big you imagine that group is up to you; some people see a small group of 3 or 4, others imagine whole communities, networks, cities, nations, or our global community. (Ultimately, We is the Oneness of All…)

Today’s contemplation did two things that almost made my head explode.

  1. Combined with something I learned yesterday, it turned my understanding of the Kingdom of Heaven upside down.
  2. It gave me an incredibly clear, stark picture of the practical implications, relevant for today, of this Guiding Thought.

Broken down, here it is:

  1. What I learned yesterday: The phrase the Kingdom of Heaven is within you is a poor translation of the original Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke, and even of the Greek. A better translation is the Kingdom of God is in your midst, where “your” is plural, referring to a village or community.

The Kingdom was based on a community’s acceptance of the poor, the hungry, the bereaved, and the shunned. (Chilton, Bruce. Rabbi Jesus: an Intimate Biography. Doubleday, 2000. p. 137)

Applied to today’s Guiding Thought, the values and goals become our collective values and goals: what do we value? Moreover, how do we want our culture and society to reflect those values? What are the means for accomplishment?

This lead to…

2. The we is identified as everyone in the United States (or whatever country you are from), everyone in our global community, and every living being that makes up life on planet Earth.

What do we value?

In the US we are figuring this out rapidly, en masse, through observing and experiencing the consequences of behaviors, attitudes, and decisions of our leaders which we do not value.

As a society, we are being given the gift of a spectacle showing us how old, outdated, and destructive our past values have been–after all, as a society, we bought into everything we are seeing today for decades, though on a much smaller scale. Now it’s all erupted and in our face, so we can see clearly what we have created through our past values.

As a national community, we are rejecting those values, and collectively embracing new values.

We are in a transition, and experiencing the turmoil that goes along with the clash of values. The old values still have power in our collective consciousness, and we, collectively, have not come to a mass agreement about what the new values should be (much less the systems or institutions to reflect those values). We are rejecting the old values with nothing concrete yet to replace them.

The same transition, is occurring on a global scale, with a backdrop of a global crisis of diminishing eco-systems and resources, and an increase in pathogens (affecting the most vulnerable humans: women, children, the elderly).

Through the spectacle and foibles happening in the United States, other nations are sharpening their clarity regarding what they value; political societies are questioning the value of economic systems that oppress people and destroy the earth in pursuit of “wealth” represented by numbers in a computer.

People are questioning the value of political leaders who sell out the citizenry and natural resources to the highest bidders.

People are questioning so called “human” values, when our systems, institutions, and social structures promote violence, war, racism, degradation, and other “inhumane” activities. Who are we as a people, as a race? What do we value?

We got ourselves into this. Time to get ourselves out.

Guiding Thought

In Perfect Love there is no lack, only complete abundance. Perfect Love is Perfect Fulfillment. When you are aware of your Oneness with Perfect Love, you have everything; you are everything. With a mind fully aware of its own Fullness in Perfect Love, you have perfect faith in your creations, as they are of the same mind as Perfect Love.

Reflection

One by one the sentences in the Guiding Thought make absolute sense to me. But taken all together, my brain feels overwhelmed and incredulous.

In The Abundance Book, John Randolph Price says this, “There are certain principles of abundance, specific fundamentals of Truth which, when realized, will free an individual from lack and limitation.”

That book was (obviously) geared toward abundance, yet the “specific fundamentals of Truth” are not limited to abundance.

One of these Truths that he refers to is this:

“It is your spiritual consciousness–your Knowledge of the Presence of God within you as total and complete fulfillment–that interprets itself as every form or experience in your world. That is the Law.”

So, you see how the specific fundamentals of Truth are unlimited–the Presence of God within you is everything, complete fulfillment.

Regardless of the Law, it can only act through your realization of it. Your spiritual consciousness is your spiritual wealth, which out-pictures itself as your worldly wealth.

“You see, God is Omnipresent Wealth, the Infinite Riches of the universe, the lavish Abundance of creation. And if you deny unlimited prosperity, you are denying yourself, because YOU are the image of omnipresent wealth, the expression of the infinite riches of the universe, an individualization of lavish abundance.”

Statements of Truth can be difficult for my brain to accept; they sometimes seem so far from what I think I know, or what I think I experience. Today is one of those days. The Guiding Thought feels unreachable.

However, when I think about the concept through the words of Mr. Price, my brain does not get so worked up (can you see the similarities in his words, and in the Guiding Thought?).

I feel like I can handle the Truth as Mr. Price lays It out. But not so much when I read the Guiding Thought. Sometimes other people help me get past a stumbling blocks in my mind. That’s what’s happening today.

And that’s a thing about Truth. Everyone Knows It; everyone has It within them. We walk through life resonating with Truth (as we are aware of It), through others’ words, or sharings, or imaginations. Their experiences spark something in ourselves, which strengthens what we Know of the Truth within us.

But it’s up to each of us to find the expression of that Truth within us. That is Creation.

“Turn within and watch the Inner Presence work. The activity of your Infinite Mind sees and knows only abundance–and in this sea of Knowingness is a spiritual Idea corresponding to every single form, event, circumstance, condition, or experience that you could possibly desire. The creative energy (substance) of these Divine Ideas is forever flowing into perfect manifestation.”

Why a Journey of Abundance 2016

Public Domain Image
Public Domain Image

It’s a new beginning! Welcome! It’s time to get clear, time to focus. Why DO I want to do this Journey of Abundance? What is important to me? What are my priorities? Where do I want to grow? What do I want to change? Let me begin to get clear by thinking about what abundance means to me now.

Right now, abundance has to do with vitality, energy, productivity, motivation, and time to give those things in service to others and the world.

In a way, then, abundance follows from Journey of Healing, since vitality and energy are quintessential qualities of being Whole and Healthy (in my opinion).

Vitality and energy lead naturally to motivation and productivity. I love when I am so excited and enthusiastic about something that I can spend hours at it and the time flies.

That leaves time, because in order to utilize energy and vitality toward motivation and productivity, one must have the time to get lost in projects, when the time flies.

Even though all that makes sense, I am honestly feeling very unclear at the moment. What do I want? I can feel issues of unworthiness creeping in; I feel afraid to state boldly, fearlessly this is what I want. I feel almost afraid to want anything. What am I allowed to wish for?  What am I allowed to want? If I want something, aren’t I being greedy, or selfish? How do I balance needing money to live with living a spiritual life, or with spiritual principles?

Intellectually, I know: money and material goods are neutral. There is nothing “unspiritual” about them, there is no one who would blame me for using money to support myself and my family. Money can do a lot of good for a lot of people.

Emotionally, it seems I have some opposition, some resistance. Maybe I need to back up a step. What did I learn on the last Journey?

AHHHHHHHH…I just realized why this “abundance thing” is uncomfortable at the moment…During Journey of Healing, and especially at the end,  I did a lot with light and love—stuff that is heavy-spiritual, not exactly material. The pendulum swung toward the spiritual, apparently the back swing to materiality is a bit disconcerting to my brain/emotions.

To put this in perspective, I turn to my teacher, John Randolph Price:

Do you have an aversion to wealth? Do you object to being rich? Does the word “abundance” bother you? If you have the slightest reservations, then you’d better check your belief system regarding God. You see, God is omnipresent Wealth, the Infinite Riches of the universe, the lavish Abundance of creation. And if you deny unlimited prosperity, you are denying yourself, because YOU are the image of omnipresent wealth, the expression of the infinite riches of the universe, an individualization of lavish abundance. You are as rich right now as any individual who ever walked on this planet. The cattle on a thousand hills are yours, the gold and silver are yours, and an abundance of money is yours now! (The Abundance Book, p. 18-19, 1987, Quartus edition)

My mind needs abundance healing!

Like in the Journey of Healing, I need to transmute or transform my beliefs (which bring about my experience) of those things that fall short of the Wholeness, Fullness of God (Love), into an experience of God (Love), including my relationship with money, wealth, prosperity, and success.

Thus, the first thing I am working on is transmuting or transforming my thoughts/beliefs about God-Love-Fulfillment, so that I include the material aspects of money, wealth, and success into my idea of God-Love-Fulfillment.

This includes the second thing I am going to work on, which I have mentioned quite a bit this year (but it just makes so much sense): “Your task is not to seek for love abundance, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi

Finally, by the end of the Journey, I want to be clear about what material success means to me. How much is enough? What do I need? What does prosperity look like to me, as me, in my unique situation? What material life would bring me the most joy, the most happiness, the most fulfillment?

Feel free to share your thoughts about WHY you are doing this Journey in the comments! I’m so glad you are here—it’s going to be fun (but then, it always is…). Blessings to you!

Guiding Thought

I give today to Light. I feel the Light within pour forth; I feel my radiance, my glow. I see—with my inner eye—this light envelop and infuse all I encounter, all my words, and all my actions. I watch as others resonate with me, their light growing brighter in the sanctity of my own. To all beings and all situations today, I offer only Light, and learn, as I do, the Wholeness of my Self.

How is it already day 10? How are we already at the end of Round 1!? Has this round gone as quickly for you, as it has for me? Time has flown, but I am not quite sure what I have learned. Where am I now that is different than where I was 9 days ago? How did I get here?

Let’s see…there were first, a few days about clearing the slate, then a few days about health and nutrition, then some days about feeling light and being peaceful. That kind of sums it up, right? If this has gone quickly for you, take a moment to look back and think about what you’ve done so far, remind yourself where you’ve been so this doesn’t seem random and out-of-place! Keep reminding your mind that you are moving forward!

As I’ve said in previous articles, these Journeys are modeled after the Prosperity Plan designed by John Randolph Price, which assists people in moving their consciousness from one of lack and limitation to one of all-sufficiency of supply and abundance. I love how Mr. Price uses words; in my opinion, he does an excellent job conveying to people how consciousness is the door to the Master Self within and ultimately to God. Your consciousness can be either open to the fullness of the Truth, open part way, or closed. The point of these Journeys is to continually expand your consciousness, opening the door and the floodgates so that upon you are poured forth the infinite blessings of All Good, All God.

Here is a paraphrased example of this from Mr. Price’s book, The Angels Within Us; in the actual quote, he uses the words abundance, prosperity, and lack–I have replaced these words with health, healing, and disease:

When you are consciously aware of the Presence of God, the Presence becomes part of your consciousness, and there is spiritual infusion. And when you identify this Spirit of God within as your health, your consciousness becomes the principle of health. The energy flows into manifestation through you, forever reproducing the vibration of your consciousness in the world of form. The main purpose of these ideas is to enable you to work with the higher law–the Law of Healing–rather than then law of disease, because consciousness is fulfilling itself as law regardless of where it is focused.

Whooaaaa…

I can never read John Randolph Price and not feel like something has opened and more light has come into my mind and heart. Do you feel it?

This morning, before turning to the Journey, I read a chapter of The Angels Within Us. Reading Mr. Price feels like meditation to me, because I feel the words, and feel the love and light streaming through me as I read. This type of association through the feeling nature is valuable in expanding the consciousness.

While reading, I felt a new visualization to an old idea. You know how people use the analogy of the sun and its rays to show how we are part of God? We are the rays, the sun is God, we all come from Him/Her, yet are all different emanations. This morning I felt that. I felt myself as a ray of God, I felt you as a ray of God, I felt everything around me as a ray of God. Everything is God; God is the Source of everything. In God, we are the same Love and Light. We come to earth as rays, everything comes to earth as a ray. We can either see everything as a ray, and see God, our Source, in everything, or we can-not.

Then I came to the Guiding Thought. “I give today to Light. I feel the Light within pour forth; I feel my radiance, my glow. I see—with my inner eye—this light envelop and infuse all I encounter, all my words, and all my actions. I watch as others resonate with me, their light growing brighter in the sanctity of my own. To all beings and all situations today, I offer only light, and learn, as I do, the wholeness of my Self.”

Do you see how my visualization while reading and the Guiding Thought are the same? I had already visualized the Guiding Thought–the spirit of it, if not the letter. I felt it was like a gift, a pre-apprehension* of the future, in a very concrete, tangible way. This has been the second time this week I felt like I have pre-apprehended the Guiding Thought (the first day was two days ago), and that my day, my experiences have reflected this: I have been able to live the consciousness I am striving for.

And tomorrow I get to clear the slate again! I wonder, what will be in store for Round 2? I am so glad you are here. May the Light of Love infuse you and all you experience today.

Guiding Thought

My Purpose is to awaken to the Truth within me and share it. The Truth within me–My Inner Divine Mind–flows constantly and purely. As I go deeper in my awareness, the current of this broadens, strengthens, and brightens. It fills me and pours forth. This is My Source, the Source of all my good, all my happiness, and all my abundance. I awaken to My Inner Divine Mind and invite it to express itself as every person and event that will increase my awareness of it.

Sharing

Following from yesterday:

If my Inner Divine Mind–the Truth within me–is myours, why do I need to share it? If we all have it, if it belongs to all of us, what’s the point? Isn’t that redundant?

Though the questions were my initial reaction, I knew my mind was just doing what it does–trying to understand. I had to think about it for a bit, but I think I understand and have answers to my questions.

As you may know, the Withpearls Consciousness Journeys were inspired by John Randolph Price’s Abundance Book Prosperity Plan. The Journeys intend to, in a small way, pay homage to his work. The answers to my questions came in the form of a recollection of one of Mr. Price’s “Statements of Principle”. Day 7 of the Prosperity Plan says this:

The Divine Consciousness that I am is forever expressing its true nature of Abundance. This is its responsibility, not mine. My only responsibility is to be aware of this Truth. Therefore, I am totally confident in letting go and letting God appear as the abundant all sufficiency in my life and affairs. (emphasis mine)

That’s how I realized my answers: Divine Consciousness (Divine Mind) has its own responsibility, its own purpose within its Divine Plan. That responsibility, that purpose, is to express its true nature. I have no control over its purpose or its responsibility, but I do have control over my acceptance or allowance of it.

That’s why it’s up to me to awaken to my purpose and allow Divine Mind to express through me. The fact of it is beyond my control; what I choose to do with it is for me to decide. Sharing it is that decision.

And why would I not? If my sharing and giving it brings me people and events which show me evidence of it as the source of all my good, all my happiness, and all my abundance–I say, “Sure”.

Guiding Thought

Increasing our thoughts of Love and our attitude of service dispels all fear of lack and limitation. As we serve more people with Love, money and wealth flow abundantly to us. We use money and wealth with love and wisdom to create lives we love through our highest vision.

Sharing

Doesn’t everyone want a life they LOVE? Whether it is health, business, family, work, relationships, adventures, service, or all of these combined (and more?), don’t people want lives that simply make them feel good, lives they wake up to invigorated? Isn’t this the root of life itself—learning how to live happily, joyfully? Just learning how to do it better?

The last line of the Guiding Thought is so important for this.

Living more joyfully is the reason for money and wealth, the purpose of money and wealth. Life is the purpose of money; money is not the purpose of life. My purpose is life. Money is a tool to help me accomplish my purpose.

When do I feel most alive?

I feel alive…

When I am working on increasing my inner-love, my loving relationships, and healing

When I am doing work I love

When I feel safe in the world

When I feel connected to God, to others, to myself

When I am helping others

When I am taking care of my dog, my cat, my garden, my relationship, or my house

When I get out of a two-hour long soak in the tub

When I exercise

When I write

When I breathe

When I think

When I observe

When I watch trees blow in the wind

When I eat saag paneer

When I am alive!

I think I am very fortunate. There are so many things that I have incorporated into my life that increase my love of living. While I may not always be doing these things, may not always be in a mindset of remembering to love all of the details of living, I have them always in my back pocket—I can pull them out and return to them at any time to jog my memory of loving life.

This to me, is a way of “doing it better”: doing more of the things that bring me to aliveness more often; raising the quality of my thoughts, which in turn raise the quality of my life, and remembering to do this more often. The flip side of this is minimizing the things that decrease my aliveness (which actually comes more-naturally when I am focused on increasing the things that increase aliveness).

When my money supports my life, I happily and joyfully use my money—because it comes back to me in a way that I really want: as an increase in my own love of life.

Relating to this, John Randolph Price uses MONEY as an acronym for My Own Natural Energy Yield, in other words, “…my very essence, which, when properly expressed, returns to me as an all-sufficiency of legal tender, to be used in exchange for goods and services.” (The Abundance Book, p. 41)

If energy is geared toward aliveness, and money is used to increase that aliveness through the purchase of ideas, goods, and services, what will be returned (yielded) is that same energy, in a form that will further both the energy and the yield.
