Guiding Thought

Divine Abundance expresses infinitely through your own Divine Presence. When you identify with your Divine Presence, you open the floodgates and Divine Abundance flows naturally, easily, and effortlessly through you, materializing all good in your life and affairs.

How can I have this if I don’t have that?

How can I be happy if I don’t have the man of my dreams?

How can he be the man of my dreams if he doesn’t have the sense of humor I’m looking for?

How can I be successful if I don’t have the title I want?

How can I be successful if I don’t have the house and car I’d always planned on?

How can I love myself when I don’t have the body I want?

Too often, there are pre-requisites that have been set up in our minds–criteria, if you will–that we have determined in advance are the signifiers to our happiness, our success, our self-esteem.

“I won’t be happy until this happens, that happens, and then this”.

We are always pursuing these criteria. We are not actually pursuing happiness or success or love. We are pursuing the things that we have decided are the cues (signifiers) for our happiness, success, and love.

So we miss happiness or success or love when it does not fall within our parameters.

How much are we missing!?

It’s the same with Divine Abundance. Divine Abundance is always providing us with everything we need. But we have our own criteria for what “we need”, which may or may not match up with Divine Abundance’s idea of what we need.

If anything in our experience does not match up with what we think we need, we miss it when Divine Abundance overflows for us.

It’s up to us to recognize all the good in our lives–whether that is happiness, success, self-esteem, love, or Divine Abundance.

Welcome to Round 2!

Here we go! If you are new to the Journeys, please see this page, under the heading “Four Rounds”, for how things change slightly in this round.

Guiding Thought

Divine Love-Light is the Source of All. It is all good, all God. This Source is always seeking expression through you. Your awareness of your personal identity as this Source provides you with infinite fulfillment and prosperity.

Sharing

Everything is Love, because Love is the Source of everything.

Love is all good (could you disagree?)

Love wants to be. It wants to overflow and extend Itself. Everything It is contains all of Its qualities: beauty, harmony, peace, joy.

I exist. Love is my Source. And Love is my substance. Love not only created me (Source), it is me.

I contain the qualities of Love: beauty, harmony, peace, joy.

but

If I am not aware of Love as my Source, I cannot know myself as Love; I cannot know my own qualities as the qualities of Love.

Yet

When I do know myself as love

and

When I allow It to overflow and extend Itself through me, as me, I fulfill Love’s Purpose (overflowing and extending Itself).

When I fulfill Love’s Purpose, I am fulfilling my purpose, because Love is my Source and my Substance.

and I am filled full with infinite Love, the Truest prosperity.

Guiding Thought

I am the Light of Love. Light saturates my mind and body, surrounding every thought, and radiating out to All. Everything radiates Light in return. Everywhere is Light. I rest in Peace, Being Light.

Reflection

Recently, I’ve been falling asleep while listening to a meditation. Part of the meditation is, “I am ready to receive Divine Love”. I wake up feeling very calm, rested, refreshed, full of peace. What are the chances there is a correlation between the meditation and how I feel when I wake up? Pretty good, I think.

It’s not a far stretch for me to read the Guiding Thought and believe it. I can feel the Light saturating my mind and body, radiating out to all. I can sense everything radiating Light in return. In this moment, reading the Guiding Thought, I feel the same way I described about when I wake up.

After I wake up, it takes a couple of hours for the feeling to wear off (give or take, depending on how quickly life pulls me out of that State). The Guiding Thought has the same effect–temporary. At least temporary for now.

The more a person becomes accustomed to feeling good–feeling what it feels like in the arms of Love, resting in Peace– the more they want it, the more they seek it, the more they find it, the more they want it… it’s a cycle of expansion of Love.

Sure, the feeling wears off (for now). But in the moment, it’s like knowing what it feels like to not need to seek or desire something, because in that moment, it’s not just something that is fulfilled…it’s everything.

And since in Truth everything is fulfilled…the cycle of expansion of Love is just leading us to the Truth of Love.

Guiding Thought

To heal and be healed is to be aware, to understand, and to Know Wholeness.  Thus, we seek Wholeness, Unity, Oneness within our own minds and hearts, and in all our actions and affairs. We focus on uniting the fragments within ourselves, so that we see only Oneness, which is the Truth of our Self. As we Know ourselves as the Oneness we are, this Truth reflects in the world around us, confirming what we Know through our experience and life activity.

Reflection

What are different ways to “unite fragments”? Here are some thoughts:

1. Identify with the fragment (and change it in myself).

Koham?” is Sanskrit for “Who am I?” The answer to this question is “Soham“. “I am That“. Most often the “That” means the Self of the self, the Universal Self, the Christ Self. I am the “That” which is everywhere, and belongs to everyone; the oneness of humanity, Love, the Oneness of All that Is.

But when we are talking about uniting fragments, I must also see myself as the “that” which I may find unpleasant or unsavory–the parts of myself that I am denying, excluding, shunning, or hiding.

I’ve long thought that whenever something “out there” disturbs me, it’s because I have not accepted or integrated that thing within myself; something “in here” is not At One with Itself.

When I feel bothered by something, I ask myself, “How do I do that”? “What behaviors or thoughts do I have that are the same as that”? This takes a lot of honesty, and willingness to see beyond the thing itself to the meaning or symbolic representation of it.

For example, if I feel bothered when I think someone is dishonest with me, I ask myself, “When am I dishonest with other people”? This does not just mean dishonest in the same way someone was dishonest to me, it means any dishonesty. Every. Tiny. Bit. Then I do everything I can to eliminate that behavior from myself. I’ve been doing this for years. This practice really eliminates “dishonesty” and attracts “truth and honesty”. Guess what kind of people I have in my life?

Another example is that recently, I have felt bothered because I have felt that someone is representing something of high integrity and value with very little responsibility. I feel bothered that this person is acting irresponsibly both to the information being presented and to the people it is being presented to (I am one of those people). To counter this, I am assessing how present information, and working at doing it responsibly and with integrity–researching, getting different viewpoints, and offering ideas in a neutral way, not as absolute fact or rigid rules. I am also being aware of the impact that information has on people, and my responsibility to them. If I represent myself as a teacher, friend, mentor, or responsible adult, I have to take that seriously, and act in such a way to deserve to be a teacher, friend, mentor, or responsible adult.

No, this is not an exact science. It’s only about working on myself. This is also a valuable tool to remove blame. I can’t blame someone else for how they behave if I have the same behavior.

2. Aligning pieces. Most of the time when I think about Oneness and uniting fragments, my visual image is something like two soap bubbles meeting and being absorbed into each other to become one bigger bubble.

But recently “uniting” has more to do with “aligning”, and the visual image is more like hitching up a trailer to a ball mount. To do this, the hitch has to be the right height, the right distance, and the right angle (that is–no angle).

This image implies two things that the bubble image does not 1) a much more proactive approach to uniting fragments 2) a more linear process. In other words, with the trailer approach, I am the one who has to make sure things line up. If I say I want a glass of water, then never get up to get a glass and fill it, but still complain because I’m thirsty, it’s only because I haven’t taken the appropriate steps to be and do what I say I want. I’m both the cause and the solution to my thirstiness. If I say I want to learn to heal, but then never explore what that means, never do things that improve my quality of life/mind, then what I say and what I do are not in alignment.

This approach has a lot more trial and error. It also has greater and greater levels of refinement, as I continually figure out things that are out of alignment, then figure out how to get them into alignment. I think once things are aligned, a merging into oneness (like the soap bubbles) happens easily and naturally.

Since the Truth of my Self is Infinite, until I experience All as One, I am on a journey of alignment, actively creating the circumstances through which alignment naturally allows merging.

Guiding Thought

We rely on our own Loving Presence to lead and guide us toward the meaning of healing. Seeking the meaning of healing frames all our activity and gives context to all our interactions. Though we may encounter disturbances throughout our daily activity, we lay them at the feet of our own Loving Presence and continue to ask, “What is healing”? Our own Loving Presence directs us as we listen in the stillness.

Reflection

Cleansing. Purging. Clearing. Letting go. Shifting. Transmuting.

Seeking the meaning of healing frames all our activity and gives context to all our interactions is currently very very true for me.

It seems everything recently is coming up for healing. Anxiety. Trust-issues. Faith-issues. Feeling betrayed issues. Anger at myself for a particular passivity in my past. Feeling responsible, and thinking of times when I was irresponsible. Unworthy stuff. “What am I supposed to do” stuff. Anger at others for not living up to my expectations (even after I lowered my expectations). Fear of disappointment that someone else will not live up to my expectations. Inadequacy. Feeling like “I’m not doing it right”…and more!

I said to Tam earlier today, after urgently insisting that something had to be done now“I’ve got a stick up my ass today and I don’t know why”. It’s important to be able to communicate to some degree about the crap going on, so that there is no mis-communication or risk of mis-perception. I sort of knew why I was in a funk…read the above paragraph. But that was too much to deal with and have a stick up my ass. Fortunately, Tam and I understand each other when these things happen (whew).

feel like I’ve been letting go of a lot of unseen/unknown energies. Maybe karma. Maybe energetic stuff that has been trapped in my energy body. Maybe Ancestral stuff–I just re-posted an article on ancestral healing –whoa, I hadn’t even thought of that, until the article crossed my path…but it makes so much sense (and now I really want to do these meditations). Maybe just crap that has been hiding in deeper nooks and crannies.

Whatever you think in all levels of mind will determine all the various energies you draw into your systems and bodies. The darkness in your unknown mind still draws darkness to you. Therefore go into all the darknesses of your minds and release and transform it all into its inherent Light, Color, Sound, and Love. Then only will you be blessed with Internal Peace, Happiness, and ever-expanding stability. ~Joseph Barry Martin

It’s up to me to find those darknesses and clear them. It’s up to me to want to heal more deeply…and more deeply…and more deeply…until there is no more darkness.

Part of how I think about healing is exactly about A) the interconnectedness of All, and B) that there are deeper and deeper layers (nooks and crannies) to heal.

I am never healing just myself. Nothing that comes up is ever “just mine”. Everything everyone does is connected to All. Leigh says it really well in the ancestral healing article:

In a big wave of realization I felt the clearing I’ve been doing reaching down through the ancestral lines and then flowing back to heal people I don’t even know but am related to in the present…In the notion of one big web of energy, these family ties show how deeply we really are connected.  So imagine working on clearing your ancestral lineages of fear and negative beliefs and then that your clearing is energetically impacting millions of others.  Imagine a whole bunch of us doing this clearing can help to heal fear for millions upon millions of people.

We’ve got our work cut out for us. Thank you for the healing work that you contribute to All. I have so much love and appreciation for you, out there, on this path, on your own path, doing the work. ❤
